Queen

Queen was a British rock band formed in London in 1971. Comprised of Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), John Deacon (bass guitar), and Roger Taylor (drums, vocals) they were a top music act of the 70s and 80s. Queen's early work was heavily influenced by progressive rock during the mid-1970s. In the 1980s the band ventured into more radio-friendly material. This brought them greater commercial success. With hits like Bohemian Rhapsody, Under Pressure (My favorite Queen song), We Will Rock You, and many more they became one of music's most influential rock groups. Unfortunately Freddie died of bronchopneumonia, a complication of AIDS. He was one of thee greatest singers of all time and will always be missed. John Deacon retired in 1997. The surviving members (Brian May and Roger Taylor) have frequently performed together. They have also collaborated with Paul Rogers under the name Queen + Paul Rodgers which lasted from 2004 to 2009. But personally I think no one can replace Freddie (truly they weren't but still)! Queen's music will forever live on and will always be a great band. RIP Freddie and Go Queen!

Wings at the Speed of Sound

I just finished watching Wingspan the Wings TV documentary done in 2001. They talked about when Wings at the Speed of Sound was released and madness happened. When Wings played in Seattle there were sooooo many people it scared me! They were all running around and they were happy to be going to the concert. It was pretty epic and I wish I could have been there. Really awesome time. And of course in 1976 there were soo many other acts that people would die for to see. So if you went to any concerts during the 70s i applaud. NICE JOB!

Paul McCartney and Wings

What the hell do u do after the Beatles??? Well Paul McCartney answered that question. He formed Wings in 1971 and the group consisted of Paul, his wife Linda, Denny Laine and Denny Seiwell. The line up constantly changed except for Paul, Linda, and Denny Line. Songs like, "Band on the Run, Jet, and Silly Love Songs," landed Wings on the charts. Unlike some other post-Beatles projects in the 1970s Wings was more than a back up band for Paul. The band was a unit and other members beside Paul wrote or co wrote some of their songs. The band toured around the world and Paul and Linda's children traveled with them. I think it would be awesome to tour around the world because my parents were musicians. But then you add the fact that PAUL MCCARTNEY is my father and it's the best time ever! The band broke up in 1981 but Paul still performs some of the groups songs today. Unfortunately Paul's lovely Linda died from breast cancer in 1998. :^( But we don't wanna bring the whole thing up. Paul McCartney rocks and with Wings he was just amazing and awesome. In fact the whole group was. Wings was "THE" band to be in after the Beatles.

Well Hello

Its been a very long time! Sorry I have been immensely busy. School and life has worn me down and I have had no time to write. First I would like to address John Lennon. I wish him a very late 70th birthday.Though I wasn't born when he was killed or when he was doing his solo stuff or with the Beatles his music is amazing and wonderful. His death is only marked by tragedy. The world misses him very much and I....WE all wish he was still alive and well singing for us and making more amazing music! We love you John and always will. Next George Harrison died 9 years ago today. He was amazing and truly talented. His music was tastefully written. Here comes the sun is probably my favorite songs of all time. Very sad when he died I was quite young and had no idea.Just another tragedy in the band. Not as great as John Lennon's death mostly because his was unexpected but still horribly sad. R.I.P peace and love thank you for your amazing music and we love you.Sigh im making myself sad. Very unfortunate. Oy sooo sad. Well that's really all this post is dedicated in their honor thank you both again for your amazing music we love you and always will. Thank you!
