Long ago I heard That Steve Perry might have a daughter. I looked in to it a little but nothing extreme. Finally I remembered the fact or fiction story and here I bring to you today news on the situation. WikiAnswers says he does have a daughter and her name is Shamila or Shamira. I don't really know. :-( Ha And according to to WikiAnswers he has grandchildren! Perry a grandfather wow! But is real? I don't have much to back me up but say he does in fact have a daughter. They don't like a like really (I think) But maybe she takes after the mother whoever that maybe. But I'm happy to say Steve Perry has a daughter! And she lives in Raeford NC according to Cha Cha. DeleteHe does have a daughter named Shamila. I worked with her mother as a bartender in Fayetteville North Carolina in the mid 1980's. Im not going to say her mom's name since I don't have her permission, but they dated in L.A. before he became famous. Steve didn't have much of a relationship with Shamila until she was a teenager.

A metal club in the 80's. She was a very nice person. Very down to earth. And never told told people who her Father was. The only way a few of us knew was we went to her house. After the bar closed. I remember reading that Shamila's mother didn't tell either Steve or her he was her father until she was in her early teen's. I, also, remember that he stated he wanted a blood test - until he saw her. She looks like his mother.

ReplyDeleteI think Steve Perry is one of the best singers ever. Some singers will speak or shout their lyrics, but Steve actually sings & with great passion. His private life is his to lead & I am grateful that he has shared his talents with the world.
Angell is just trying to get a rise out of everyone. Ok, let's fill in some blanks.
DeleteSteve Perry is quite private as are most of us. I mean, do you like answering the door when someone shows up unannounced? Shamila is his daughter & he's very proud of her. Shamila is not nor was she ever a stripper, frankly thats laughable. Steve has a strong moral code which he's always lived by. Family is of paramount importance to Steve. Steve gave all he could to his fans but that part of his life is behind him.
He has an incredible voice and will always be the voice of Journey To Me. I have to admire him for keeping he and his family away from the drama, supposably he left Journey to find his life. I would love to hear him sing again and I realize at 69 he may not be able to reach those high notes but wow!

ReplyDeleteThe mother of Steve's daughter, Shamela, is my aunt by marriage. Her name is Yvonne. She had a brief fling with Steve Perry, got pregnant, moved to NC (where she still resides)and didn't tell him about the baby until Shamela was older. Shamela is a beautiful woman with two beautiful boys.
